1 cup besan
1tsp salt or according to requirement
3/4 tsp red chilli powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1 cup of water
Oil according to requirement
1tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 tsp Hing(Asafoetida)
2 chopped green chillies
Handful curry leaves
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1.5 cup Boiled Potatoes
2tbsp oil
12 garlic cloves
1/4 cup peanuts
3tbsp Sesame Seeds
1tbsp Kashmiri Chilly Powder
1/2 tbsp Coriander Powder
1tsp salt
1/2 cup dried grated coconut

1. For makeing Besan Batter, Take a bowl and add 1 cup besan, 1tsp salt, 3/4 tsp red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp Turmeric, 1 cup of water & mix it gently and now our thick besan batter is ready , keep it aside.

2. Now heat the non stick pan and then add 2tbsp oil, 1tsp Mustard Seeds, 1/2 tsp Hing & let it pop and then add 2 chopped green chillies and add handful curry leaves and then add 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1.5 cup Boiled Potatoes and then toss it well.

3. Now mash these potatoes and then add 3/4 tsp salt & again mash & cook it for 3-4 minutes and then place these potatoe mixture in the large bowl as shown in picture and let it cool at room temperature.

4. Now for making garlic chutney for this vada pav heat the non stick pan & add 2tbsp oil, 12 garlic cloves and saute or cook it lightly and then add 1/4 cup peanuts & again lightly cook it and add 3tbsp Sesame Seeds & again stirr this & when the sesame seeds pop then switch off the flame.

5. Now remove these pan from flame & then add 1tbsp Kashmiri Chilly Powder and 1/2 tbsp Coriander Powder, 1tsp salt, 1/2 cup dried grated coconut and stirr this properly and again lightly cook it on medium flame for 1-2minutes for just lightly cooking the coconut & then turn off the flame and place this mixture to the grinder to grind it & finally our garlic chutney is ready.

6. Now heat the oil in pan or wok for frying & now our potatoe mixture is cooled at room temperature which we have prepared in 3rd step & now take a little bit of this mixture & shape it into balls as shown in picture & similarly make more balls & dip these balls into the besan batter to coat it properly with this besan batter which we have prepared in 1st step & after this add this coated balls into the oil for frying at medium heat oil until it become in light brown in colour and now our Vada is ready.

7. Now take the pav & halfly open this add some garlic chutney or masala which we have prepared & add Vada to it and again little bit garlic masala or chutney on its top & then fold this pav as shown in picture & press it with your hands or fingers.

8. Now our Homemade Vada Pav Recipe is Ready to Serve with prepared garlic chutney.
