For Homemade Vegan Dal Makhni Recipe
INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

1.5 Cup of Soaked Whole Black Gram
1/2 Cup Soaked Kidney Beans
1 Cup of Cashewnuts
1tsp Cumin Seeds
1 Chopped Onion
Salt to Taste
Rock Salt to Taste
2 -3 Green Chillies
1tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
2 Chopped Tomatoes
1tsp Red Chilli Powder
1/2tsp Cumin Powder
1.5tsp Coriander Powder
1/2tsp Turmeric Powder
Water as Required
1/2tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves
1/2tsp Garam Masala Powder
For Garnish
Cashew Cream
Ginger Strips
Coriander Sprigs


METHOD OF PREPARATION

1. Take 1.5 Cup of Soaked Whole Black Gram in a deep bowl or pressure cooker and then add 1/2 Cup Soaked Kidney Beans and then add sufficient amount of water and then cover it and pressure cook it for 3-4 Whistles.





2. Take 1 Cup of Cashewnuts and roast it at 180°C for 10-12 minutes and then let it cool and then blend it till it becomes smooth as shown in picture and then add Rock Salt to Taste to this and blend it again.







3. Now take deep pan and then add 1tsp Cumin Seeds and then add 1 Chopped Onion and add Rock Salt to Taste and saute it for 1-2 minutes.




4. Now add 2 -3 Green Chillies, 1tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste and cook it till golden brown colour appears.


5. Now add 2 Chopped Tomatoes and mix it well and then add 1/4 Cup Water to it and mix it again and then add 1tsp Red Chilli Powder, 1/2tsp Cumin Powder, 1.5tsp Coriander Powder, 1/2tsp Turmeric Powder and then cook it for 1-2 minutes.









6. Now add prepared pressure cooked dal to it and then add 1/4 Cup of Water and mix it well and mash with the help of mashing utensil as shown in picture and then again add 1/2 Cup of Water.







7. Now add 1/2tsp Dried Fenugreek Leaves, 1/2tsp Garam Masala Powder, 2tbsps prepared Cashew Butter and mix it well properly.



8. Finally our Homemade Vegan Dal Makhni Recipe is Ready to Serve and Garnish it with Cashew Cream, Ginger Strips, Coriander Sprigs.
