How to make Mukhwas Recipe Step by Step with Photo Tutorial

It is generally consumed after food for freshing your mouth.

Let's follow the following steps to make simple gujarati style Mukhwas Recipe.

Mukhwas Recipe


250g Fennel Seeds

100g Roasted Coriander (Dhana Dal)

2tbsp Carom Seeds

70g Sesame 

1 1/4tsp Turmeric Powder 

1tsp Salt

1 1/2 Lemon Juice

1. Take a bowl and add fennel seeds to it and then add 1 1/4tsp Turmeric Powder, 1tsp Salt, 1 1/2tsp Lemon Juice to it.

2. Now mix it well with your hand properly.

3. Now add 3tbsp water and 1/2tsp Turmeric Powder to it and again mix it with your hands properly,  make sure your hands are clean properly and our mixture is ready.

4. Now take non stick pan and then add this prepared mixture to it and keep the flame very slow and roast or heat it for 10-15 minutes and make sure that gently mixing it with spatula so that it doesn't burnt.

5. When you notice the fragrance of fennel seeds or you can also check it by touching the fennel seeds, if it is hard in texture then it means it is roasted well.

6. Now add 2 tbsp Carom Seeds and then roast it for 3 minutes at slow flame and mixing it continuously with spatula so that it doesn't burnt. 

7. Now add 70g Sesame and cook or roast it also for 3 minutes at slow flame with continuous mixing and then stop the flame and let it cool at room temperature. 

8. Now add 100g Roasted Coriander to it and mix it properly.

9. Finally our Homemade Mukhwas Recipe is Ready to eat and place it in the close tight container and it can be store upto 1-2 months.
