How to make Chicken Salad at Home

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED

1 Big boneless chicken breast salt to taste
pepper to season
1 tbsp ginger garlic crushed 1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp Vinegar
1 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp red chilly flakes
3 tbsp light mayonnaise
3 tbsp thick low fat yogurt
2 tsp lime juice
1 tbsp mustard paste/sauce 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
some fresh cilantro
1/4 cup dry parmesan cheese
1 medium onion chopped
1/4 cup chopped celery
2 medium lettuce chopped
6-8 cherry tomatoes halved
1/2 cup croutons
some toasted walnuts and almonds

METHOD OR PREPARATION

1. Marinate the chicken breast with some salt, Pepper, Ginger Garlic, little olive oil, Vinegar, Dried thyme or you can also use fresh thyme, Red chilli flakes and let it marinate the coat all this on both sides of breast chicken evenly or spread out the marinate evenly chicken breast properly with the hands & let it rest for 15-20 mins



2. While the chicken is resting for marination, Prepare the Dressing for the salad, For this Take a large Bowl, add mayonnaise, here i am using light mayonnaise along with the yoghurt, here i am using thick yoghurt and you can use any yoghurt, the combination of both really gives a nice and creamy texture to the salad, next add lime juice , oilve oil, mustard sauce, Worcestershire sauce and the fresh cilantro and then mix it well properly, and also mix little salt and again mix to make a thick yet flowing consistency marinate and put this into the fridge to chill.







3. Take a different bowl add chopped onions, lettuce and tomatoes and mix it well and keep it aside or you can use any other vegetables of your choice.



4. Take a non stick pan and heat olive oil in a non stick pan and place the chicken breast on it and let it cook on each side for 2-3 mins by flipping and check if it is completely cooked by porking the tip of the sharp knife onto the thickest part of the chicken to make sure it is cooked , there should not be no sign of thickness and juice should run clear.





5. And once done and if it gets good golden brown color then place it on the plate and cut it into strips and keep it aside.




6. Now comes the Assembly Part, Mix the vegetables and chicken into the prepared dressing and give it a good mix to coat on both sides well. And you can also check some salt over here.





7. Now add chopped celery, walnuts, almonds over here and add the croutons and mix well.



8. Lastly  i am adding the Parmesan cheese and mix well and now this Healthy and beautiful chicken salad is ready to plate for serving.

Note:- Here i have cooked the chicken first, and you can use any other meat or chicken or sea food of your choice and if you are vegetarian then you can use bell peppers, mushroom as well
