Whole Wheat Pav Recipe



For Whole Wheat Pav 

INGREDIENTS REQUIRED 


1 tbsp Sugar

1/2 tbsp Instant Dry Active Yeast

Luke warm water

300g (2 cups of 200ml)whole wheat flour

60g (1/3 cup) Maida(All Purpose Flour) 

1/2 tbsp Salt

Refined Oil as Required

METHOD OF PREPARATION 


1. Take a glass, add 1 tbsp Sugar, 1/2 tbsp Instant Dry Active Yeast, 1/2 cup luke warm water to it and mix it properly, cover it and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes. Some yeast takes 20 minutes for activation. 

Note :- Activation yeast also depend Weather, if it is summer season then it takes less time for yeast activation.










2. Now take a bowl and then place the sieve on it and sieve the 300g (2 cups of 200ml)whole wheat flour from this as shown in picture. 

In the same sieve add 60g (1/3 cup) Maida(All Purpose Flour) and sieve from this and mix both mixture with your clean hands.

Note :- Maida (All purpose flour) will bring gluten in this and if you don't want to use maida then take 360g whole wheat flour.







3. Add 1/2 tbsp Salt, mix it well and then add 1/2 tbsp Refined Oil to it.






4. Now our yeast has been activated as you can see in the picture, mix it spoon and add to the bowl of 3rd step.






5. For making dough you have to need 1 cup luke warm water and also add some amount of luke warm water in the yeast glass,

So that all the prepared activated yeast remove from the glass and then add to the bowl.







6. Now prepare the dough by adding luke warm water. Mix or Massage this dough for about 10 -15 minutes because wheat has less gluten as compared to maida.

So it is necessary to mix or rub or Massage it for 10-15 minutes.








7. Add 1/2 tbsp Refined Oil and again mix or rub for 2-3 minutes and our dough is ready.






8. Now add little drops of oil on your hand a d rub this and then make the spherical structure as shown in picture below.






9. Place this dough in bowl, add 1/2 tbsp luke warm water to it and spread it evenly with your hands,

And cover it with lid and keep it aside for atleast 1.5-2hr or until it becomes double in size.






10. Now grease the baking tray with oil, here i am using 8 inch baking tin, dusting it with flour and tap it to remove extra flour.






11. After 1.5hour you can see the dough has become more than double in size as shown in picture below. 




12. Sprinkle 1 tsp flour, mix it and you can see the dough has reticular type structure and again add 1 tsp flour and rub it for 2-3 minutes.

Add 1/2 tbsp refined oil and rub this dough again and finally our dough is ready.











13. Now clean the chopping board and dust some flour on it and roll the dough on it with your hands as shown in picture and divide it into 9 small parts.







14. Now apply little oil on your hands and take one part of dough and roll this into spherical shape as shown in image.

Similarly make rest of other parts of dough and place it in the dusted baking tray and make sure that leave some gap between the spherical dough in the tray.







15. Now cover it for 1.5-2hrs or until it becomes double in size. 

After 1.5hr you can check it's size is double.





16. Without Oven :- Take a big wok and place 2-3 inch stand, here i am using ring of cake tin and cover it and 

Preheat it first for 5 minutes at high flame and then again for 5 minutes at medium flame means total 10 minutes of Preheat is require.





17. While the wok is preheating then apply the milk wash on this pav lightly,  it will help to obtain light brown colour.





18. Now place this tin in Preheated wok and cover it and bake this first for 5 minutes at high flame and then bake for 35 minutes at medium flame. 






19. Finally our Homemade Soft Whole Wheat Pav Recipe Without oven is Ready and apply some butter to it, so that it's texture remains soft.

When it cools at room temperature then remove this pav from the tin by slicing with knife from sides.

20. With Oven :- In this oven recipe, preheat the oven at 180° for 10 minutes at baking mode.

After 15 step apply the milk wash to the pav and sprinkle with some sesame seeds and place the baking tin the Preheated oven and bake it for 20 minutes. 

After 10 minutes change the position of pav so that pav baked from each sides.








21. Now Finally our Homemade Whole Wheat Pav Recipe is Ready to Serve and apply some butter to it.
